Drama thrives at Sherborne Girls and is growing in popularity each year.
Girls have the opportunity to study drama as part of their curriculum and participate in drama as part of their co-curricular activities. These range from large joint school productions, to small studio-based work. There is an annual inter-house drama competition which is keenly fought, and girls have the chance to direct their own productions with the support of the Director in Residence. There are also numerous trips to see professional theatre in performance and workshops each term, as well as the chance for girls to take their LAMDA or Trinity Guildhall examinations.
Former students have gone on to study at specialist schools such as East 15 and Central School of Speech and Drama, with one student recently awarded a drama scholarship to Bristol University.
