      Lacrosse

Lacrosse is one of the main winter sports at Sherborne Girls and is played throughout the autumn and spring terms.

      Coaching

Players receive the highest level of coaching with two former national standard players coaching to provide the most up-to-date techniques and strategies. With an emphasis on developing an agile, fast athlete that has a strong skill set with creative flair. We aim to develop thinking players that can make game-related decisions under pressure.

      Tours and tournaments

Along with regular season matches, will be travelling to the USA for a tour in April 2019 where they will receive coaching from USA coaches and play in a tournament at the famous ESPN World of Sport. There are also opportunities for players to participate in lacrosse outside of school, including teams at U13, U14, U15 and senior level 1sts and 2nds) participating at national tournaments and a variety of locally held tournaments by different schools. Elite players are encouraged and given the opportunity to be a part of county and regional teams. Recently we have had girls attending the Lacrosse National Training Centre, which is a feeder into the England U19 and senior England squads and the Welsh U19 development academy.
