Overview

Sherborne Girls only includes academic qualifications in the calculation of UCAS points, as required by good universities.

(Note: These scores are provisional and subject to revision following any re-marking appeals.)

International Baccalaureate Results 

  • thirteen girls took the IB (taught jointly with Sherborne School)
  • five girls (38% of the cohort) achieved over 40 points out of a possible 45 with the highest score being 42 points.
  • worldwide 5.5% gained 40 or more points (2009) 
  • Sherborne Girls' average points score was 36.23 up from 35.75 last year
  • worldwide average points score 29.51 (2009)

Advanced Level Results 

  • outstanding A level results with very high proportion of A*/A and B grades
  • 19% of papers passed at new A* grade (8% nationally)
  • 52% of papers achieved A* or A grade (27% nationally)
  • 80% of papers achieved A*/A or B grade
  • 95% of papers awarded grade C or above and 100% awarded D or above
  • average UCAS points per A level candidate including A* and AS is 376.8 (Up from 365.2 last year)
  • all the grades were, A*, A and B in the following subjects: Art, Chemistry, Greek, History of Art, Latin, Further Maths, Music, Physics, Religious Studies and Russian 

Combined IB,A2 and AS results

  • average UCAS score of 408.4 points (up from 386.6 last year) 
  • this average UCAS score of 408.4 points equates to A*, A*, A at A2 level  or A,A,A and B at AS Level
