Whilst it is the responsibility of all class teachers to attend to the individual needs of all their pupils, the LS department supports teachers with resources and advice. Additionally, the LS department provides 1:1 and small group lessons tailored to meet pupils’ specific needs. Lessons are scheduled outside of the academic timetable to complement whole class teaching. Lessons are designed to target literacy and the development of written expression, study skills, revision techniques and honing pupils’ access arrangements.
