We’re thrilled to announce that Sherborne Girls has won the Best of Sixth Form award by The Week!
Our innovative Sixth Form Baccalaureate (SFB) empowers girls to lead, explore, and make a real-world impact, preparing them confidently for life beyond school. Distinct in its vision and structure, our bespoke SFB offers a transformative, personalised experience that prepares pupils to step confidently into the world beyond school.
The SFB encourages each girl to shape her own journey through leadership, co-curricular enrichment, and community engagement. From chairing Model United Nations conferences to launching sustainability projects that earned us the Eco-Schools Green Flag in 2024, girls take on meaningful roles that build purpose and independence. Each builds a digital Record of Achievement — a reflective portfolio capturing their experiences, goals, and growth. Participation has soared: 92% of Sixth Formers are now actively involved in co-curricular life, up from just 50%.
Alongside academic excellence, pupils benefit from tailored enrichment courses, a university-style culture, and a growing cross-curricular collaboration with Sherborne Boys. Joint initiatives and shared academic opportunities further enrich the learning experience and broaden perspectives across both communities.
What sets our Sixth Form apart is how fully engaged our pupils are in shaping their future. Pupils lead TEDx talks, run clubs, mentor younger years, and manage public events. They leave with strong results, a confident voice, a deep awareness of their strengths, and a track record of real-world impact. Imi B-W (Year 12) reflects, “The Baccalaureate helped turn vague ambitions into clear, purposeful goals… and encouraged me to stretch myself in new directions.”
Our Sixth Form is a dynamic environment where ambition meets action, where girls discover who they are, what they stand for, and how they’ll contribute.
