After sitting nearly two thousand examination papers this summer, our U5 pupils have achieved some excellent results worthy of celebration. The statistics tell an impressive story: over one-third of the year group secured top grades (9-7/A*-A) across the majority of their subjects and 88% of pupils achieved at least one top grade. A total of 15 pupils achieved top grades in every subject, with many sitting 10 GCSEs.

These results showcase young women who have balanced rigorous academic study with a fantastic range of pursuits - from leading in drama productions and performing in concerts, to helping win the Pringle Trophy, participating in teams and competing at regional and national sporting levels. This is education in its fullest sense: developing confident, capable individuals ready to make their mark on the world.

Dr Ruth Sullivan, Head of Sherborne Girls, commented:

"I am immensely proud of this group of pupils who have shown such perseverance, ambition, and energy throughout their studies. Their results are richly deserved and stand alongside the many other areas in which they excel, from Duke of Edinburgh's Awards to musical qualifications and national sporting achievements. My thanks also go to their families and our dedicated staff for the encouragement and guidance that has supported them throughout. I would also like to extend congratulations to our colleagues and pupils at Sherborne Boys for their equally strong outcomes this year."

As these pupils pause to celebrate their achievements, September beckons with new challenges and opportunities. They return as Sixth Form students, ready to dive deeper into their chosen subjects and benefit from our unique educational partnership with Sherborne Boys. With this foundation of success and the confidence that comes from overcoming challenges, we have every expectation that they will continue to excel and inspire.

Today's results don't just mark the end of their GCSE journey - they signal the beginning of even greater achievements to come.
